National Aide Is Given a Pleasant Surprise.

The ladies of the Woman’s Relief Corps gave a pleasant surprise Friday evening to Mrs. J. W. Childers, in honor of her recent appointment as the national aide from Indiana on the staff of the national president. It was also Mrs. Childers’ birthday. Twenty-three were present and partook of a fine supper and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed. Mrs. Childers was offered the congratulations of all present on her appointment and assured of the confidence of her sisters in the corps that she would merit still further recognition.
