The Mopon railroad has put up a new danger sign at the crossing on Main street. We now have three blacksmith shops in Parr and at times all three are hammering hot iron. G. M. Wilcox & Son have purchased a new town dray, quite an improvement over the old hard running one wheeled thing used here for years. . . The voters here have generally signed up the petition for an election on county local option. We are looking forward to the time when boot leggers wlll J forget their boots and wear shoes. Some of the farmers have sown oats and several more are plowing, getting ready to sow. The early bird Is after, but does not always get the worm. Charley A. On account of the near approach of the busy season, our literary and debating society closed its work last Friday night. The question was "Resolved that George Washington deserved more honor than Abraham Lincoln.” Mr. Logan Wood and Fred Stevenson on the affirmative were pitted against two of said to be old debaters, Wm.
