High School.

School was dismissed at 2:30 Friday afternoon for a week’s vacation. The Saturday Club was entertained by Nell Meyers, Ethel Hermansen and. Jane Moody Saturday afternoon, Mar. 20, at the home of Nell Meyers. The guests of honor were Belle Laßue and Georgia Harris.” It was college day for the club and after a piano solo, by Georgia Harris and the reading of the minutes, the secretary called the roll, to which each member responded with a speech about the college assigned her. The guests then told some interesting college pranks and all gathered around the piano to sing college songs. The refreshments were salad, rolls, potato chips, chocolate, nabiscoes and mint wafers. Little G. S. C. pennants were given as favors. A Senior class meeting was held Tuesday evening and the class pins were chosen. There was no meeting of the Glee Club this week on account of vacation. A committee was appointed to make arrangements for the Senior Class Day. It consists of Ed Duvall, Roy Gundy, Helen Murray, Blanche Babcock, and Floyd Meyers. The History Club met Thursday evening, March 25, in the Library auditorium and the following program was rendered: “Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World” Mr. Tillman “Battle .of Marathon”. ...LaVere Lee “Battle of Waterloo” Mr. Dean Music, Mary Pierce and Selma Leopold Refreshments were then served by the refreshment committee, Grace Peyton, Madeline Ramp and Roy Gundy. Little swords were given as favors.
