Felix French, Hutchinson’s Oldest Mason, Dies.
Hutchinson, Kans., Gazette, Monday, March 22—Felix French died at the family home, 115 East Sixth ave., last evening at 5:45 o’clock from stomach trouble. He had been failing the last year, but had been confined Co his bed only during the last three weeks. He was 81 years old. Mr. French was one of the oldest Masons in this vicinity, having been a member of the lodge for fifty-four years. He was born near Newport, Vermillion county, Indiana, February 15, 1828. He was the ninth child of a family of twelve children. Xtie father, Philip' French, moved here with his family from Ohio. Felix French was married to Nancy S. Smith October , 15, 1861, in Newton county, Indiana. Three children were born to them, G. E. French, who lives six miles south-west of Hutchinson, I. E. French of 408 W. Eleventh ave., and Elizabeth French. He lived in Vermillion county until *IBBS. He moved to Hutchinson in 1903 from Jasper county, Indiana. .The funeral will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home. Rev. O. L. Cook of the Birst Christian church and the Hutchinson Order of Masons will conduct the services. Burial will be made in Eastside cemetery.
