Infield Negotiating For McCoy McCoysburg Land.
George W. Infield, the Interurban railroad promoter, is negotiating for the .McCoysburg land, consisting of 1,640 acres that formerly belonged to the McCoys, and which is now the property of the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co., and it is not improbable that he may purchase the land. He has made an offer to the company and the local agent of the company thinks it possible that the offer may be accepted. Mr. Infield is already a large land owner in this county, having a section in Union township, about 10 miles north of this city. The land that he expects to buy is all of the original tract of McCoy land except 27 acres on which the title is slightly clouded. It includes the hotel’building and three other houses, also six barns. It is his intention to farm it if the deal goes through.
