A HUNTER SHOT
Abe Moorehouse Has Narrow Escape At the Kankakee Elver. Abe Moorehouse, a well-known Pdrter county hunter, had a narrow escape from meeting death while out duck hunting Wednesday at the Kankakee. Moorehouse was standing ; in the timber “squaking” and on the approach of several ducks his companion in reaching for hisgun to bag the game accidentally discharged the weapon and the load struck Moore-' house in the back of the neck, inflicting a severe flesh wound. Assistance was' rendered at once and Moorehouse was taken* to Kouts where his wounds were attended to. While his injuries are very painful nothing serious is anticipated.
