Death of a Fine Young Man at Lee.
A sad death occurred at Lee, White county, last Friday night, March 12th. It was that of Edward Kopka, a v&ry popular and exemplary young man. Kopka lived iwith his widowed mother, brother and sister. He was siezed with pneumonia and his condition was not considered alarming until Friday, evening, and death occurred a short time after the turn for the worse was noticed. He was born January 3,0, 1890, and was at the time of death 19 years, 1 month and 13 days of age. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him and his death is mourned not alone by the sorrowing mother, brother and sister, but by a host of acquaintances. The funeral was held Sunday morning at 10 o’clock, and was preached by Rev. D. E. Noland, formerly of Lee, but now located at Mt. Ayr. Burial was made in the Osborne cemetery.
