Obituary.

Susan Ellen Blankenbaker was born Dec. 26, 1826, in Madison county, Virginia, and died March 10, 1909, at Delphi, Ind., aged 82 years, 2 months and 12 days; In her girlhood her family moved to Darke county, Ohio, where she was united in marriage to Henry V. Childers, June 9, 1850. To this union five children were born, four of whom survive, namely: J. W., of this city; J. H., J. I. and Mrs. Celia Mahannah, all of Delphi. In 1858 they moved to Indiana and lived in the vicipities of Mt. Ayr and Rensselaer until a few years ago, when they moved to Delphi, which has beeq their home since. Besides her husband and four children, she leaves two brothers, Simeon Blankenbaker, of Kefgley, Kans., James Blankenbaker, of Mt. Ayr, and one sister, Mrs. Isaac Stacker, of near Mt. Ayr. She also leaves 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a' host of friends to mourn her death. Five of the pall bearers were grand-sons and the sixth a grand-son by marriage.
