Mrs. Jesse Nichols Was Injured Saturday.
Mrs. Jesse Nichols, matron of the county farm, and husband were starting for their home Saturday afternoon at about 4:30 o’clock and were leading behind the buggy they occupied a horse they had just purchased of Dennis Gleason. They were in front of the residence of Ed Hopkins on Cullen street when the horse they were leading became frightened at the approach of an automobile from behind and lunged forward and struck with his front feet, striking Mrs. Nichols on the back and knocking her from the buggy. After she had fallen the horse ran over her and she was considerably bruised up although not seriously injured. Mr. Nichols jumped from the buggy and the horse they were driving ran soihe little distance, while the other horse broke loose and ran into a buggy driven by Emerson Matheney, breaking one wheel of his buggy. Fortunately no one was seriously injured.
