Is Fred Gilman Free?

A rumor has been going round that .Fred Gilman, the former Goodland banker, had been pardoned and was now in Chicago with his jrif*. This is evidently a mistake, as he could only have secured his release through the board of_ pardons, and Michigan City papers would have recorded such action. It is probable that Gilman, like Tom McCoy, will have to spend maximum three year sentence, In the penitentiary at Michigan City. In view of the fact that Gilman was a fugitive from justice for some time following the failure of his bank, it is not probable that the board of parole would grant his release.
