Foiled Plot to Kidnap Taylor.

The Indianapolis Star tells a story of a plot to kidnap W. 8. Taylor, the former Kentucky governor who has been a resident) of this state since the assassination of Goebel, and for whose requisition the Kentucky authorities were refused by various governors in this state within the past ten or twelve years. A reward of SIOO,OOO was offered for the delivery of Taylor to the Kentucky authorities, and the Star story comes from CoL John of Lexington, Ky., who says that the game to kidnap Taylor was promoted by men who were after the reward. The intention was to grab Taylor as he was leaving his law office at Indianapolis, rush him into a closed carriage, take him to a house the parties bad rented, stupify him with drugs, place him in a coffin and ship him to Covington, Ky., and thence to the state penitentiary, where he would be kept until he could be tried for the murder of Goebel.
