Cooney Gets First Car of Ice.
Gooney Kellner got in bis first evr of artificial Ice last Saturday, having had it shipped from Frankfort and having contracted with a manufacturer there for the reason. He expets to bo able to retail the ice at 40 cents a hundred, which is only 5 cents more than the cost of natural ice. Cooney got a tolerably bad dumping on ice this year. He had been to great expense to put in an artificial pond and did not put up a pound of ice. He investigated the ice plant business with a view to putting in a plant, but found the operating expense would be so great as to make it prohibitive unless ho could find) a market for much mere than he would be able to sell heie.
