Mrs. Anna Warner and son Paul and Miss Mary Peregrine were in Rensselaer Thursday. Miss Cecil Jordan is home from high school at Francesville tills week on account of the mumps. G. W. Bond got busy with his four horse road drag Tuesday when the gravel was drying, and f iled in the big ruts and has made a good example to go by. The infant babe of Mr. and Mrs. August Tigler has i een qute s.ck with a severe cold the past week that threatened phnovn onia, but it was some better at this writing. A package of Hi st class ma 1 was delivered at tne home of “Cairier” R. L. Bussell and w.fe Saturday, Fb. 27th, and they think she is ti e cutest little bunch tnat e.er happened. Hanging Grove circuit court was set for 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon in McCoysburg, at J. P. Gwin’s i e3idence, but the parties engaged In lie suit settled the dispute before the case come to trial and paid the court costs. C. C. Randle has topped all of the big maple trees in his yard, wnich gives the place a peculiar appemme, but will be much for the benelit of the buildings that were almost entirely enveloped by the high trees when in full leaf. Repair work is going on rapidly on the farmers’ telephone line the past few days and soon the line will be in good condition again. Arrangements have been effected with the Bell company to put in a switchboard at Lee in Ot Jacks' store, and when the lines are all connected up aga n th re is no reason why excellent service cannot be had. Mr. Floyd Miller and Miss Ola Williamson, both popular young pe pie of this} township, we.e ma ried at the home of the bride’s parents Thursday night at promptly six o’clock. After the ceremony a bountiful wedding sup* per was served to a number of relatives and frienda The young couple reside in the house west of ti.e Osborne school house.

Two More Counties Vote “Dry” Whitley county with the town of Columbia City, and Hancock county, with the town of GreOhfield, voted dry Friday. A dry majority of 1,191 was given in Whitley county and 1,294 in Hancock, and almost all precincts went dry. Twelve saloons are affected in Hancock county and 18 saloons in Whitley county, all in Columbia City, and our former townsman, Arthur Nowels, there.
