Commissioners’ Proceedings.

Final estimate of engineer and superintendent on part of the John M. Ott stone road, in Carpenter township, presented, and the board now receives from the contractors the following portions as completed: All of road “J” and all of part of road “L” from stake 52x10 west, one mile. Contractor allowed $2,19124 for work on Iroquois ditch. A compromise settlement was made with) Sternberg & Sons for the removal of the stone in the river on the Gangloff land, the same to be excavated at 95 cents per cubic yard, and the contractors agree to enter into a contract to have same removed by Nov. 1, 1909. Robt Zick, superintendent of construction of Hollingsworth ditch, files final report of completion, which is examined and approved and superintendent is discharged. Auditor presents certified copy of judgment and order of the Jasper circuit court id the matter of the petition of Thomas Davis for the improvement of the Jungles ditch, and in obedience to said order the cause is set for trial on the remonstrance to final report on Monday, April 5, 1909, at 1 o’clock, and the auditor is directed to notify all parties. Contract for county poor asylum supplies awarded as follow: G. B. Porter, clothing and dry goods, $48.85; John Eger, groceries, $124.33; Roth Bros., meats, $10.75. F. E. Babcock filed objections to allowance of claim of J. W. McEwen for public printing amounting to $35. Claim allowed by board. Agreement between commissioners and Dr. E. N. Loy for the rental of county building is signed. Trustee of Marion township granted aid as follows: Wm. Greenfield, $6.00; Wm. Price, $2.00; Samuel Hoshaw, $1.25. Report of recorder showing fees collected for quarter amounting to $699.10; examined and approved. Report -el — auditor showing fe s collected for quarter amounting to $130.90; examined and approved. Report of Sheriff showing fees earned to be $171.62, and fees collected to be $117.12. Report of county farm superintenent examined and approved. Bond of contractor ordeied surrendered in the matter of the John A. Knowlton stone road. New bridge in Keener township and one in Walker township ordered advertised. Contract to be let April sth. Lemuel C. Huston appointed superintendent of county gravel roads north of Rensselaer and county farm road west in Marlon township. Bond presented and approved in sum of SSOO. A. Woodworth appointed superintendent of stone roads east and south of Rensselaer in Marlon township and south to Jordan township line. Ordered to give bond in stun of SSOO. Wm. Shlrer appointed superintendent of Chas. Stalbaum stone road. Ordered to give bond in sum of SSOO. Report county depositories: First National Bank of Rensselaer for Jan. $95.03; Bank of Wheatfield for Feb. $7.87; Jasper Savings and Trust Co. for Feb. $45.53. -- There is no better wagon sold than the Weber.
