County Will Be Dry March 13th.

.Aaron Timmons, the Tefft saloon keeper, proprietor of the only booze joint In Jasper county, was denied a license by the county commissioners Monday afternoon. Tlmmdns was represented by Attorney John Grave, of Wheatfleld, and the temperance people by Attorney S. C. Irwin, an active leader in temperance matters, of this city.' A remonstrance was presented in the form of a statement that Timmons was in the habit] of getting drunk and was of unfit character to conduct a saloon. Verbal testimony was taken to prove that Timmons was of unfit character to run a saloon. The commissioners denied the license. Timmons' present license will expire on March 13th, and Jasper county will then be entirely dry, so far as licensed thirst] joints are concerned.
