Jim Randle Accused of Crime.
Jim Randle, well known here, being the son. *of Nelson Randle, was last week tried at St Charles, 111., of implication in a hold-up that occurred in that city recently. M. L. Hemphill and J. N. Leatherman were present at his trial, and the evidence at the trial was somewhat conflicting. The hold-up’ was committed by a young man who plead guilty but who claimed that Jim had put him up to do it. He was overpowered by a man he attempted to rob and was turned over to the police. Jim stoutly maintained his innocence, and the jury disagreed as to him. The case will probably be tried again.
