Marion township assessor Geo. W. Scott has selected as his deputy, G. L. Thornton, who began work this Monday morning. Mr. Thornton was the assessor for four years in Newton township and will handle the wor in this township to the entire satisfaction of the people. He will do the assessing outside the city, and Mr. Scott will do the assessing in the City. , ■ : .
