“The Skin 'em Quick Fur Co.”
Persons from Parr are relating a great joke at the expense of Marion Gant and Buck McCurtain. The latter’s brother, Alpha McCurtain, is out in Wyoming and it seems that he is somewhat of a joker. He wrote to his brother and Mr. Gant that bear skins could be bought out In his country for $2.50. The Parr men looked up the Chicago market and found that good bear skins were worth aboiti S3O and they sent Alpha $2.50 for a sample. In due course of time they received a teddy bear, which was a clear case of skin, all right Some of their friends at Parr learned about the joke and their lives have been made miserable ever since. Marion and Buck have gone out of the fur business and are talking about starting up a teddy bear store.
