J. M. Sauser Boys a Lot.

J. M. Saucer, a soldier in the United States ..army, and who is now stationed at Fort Washakie, Wyo., is the latest purchaser of a lot in the factory subdivision of Rensselaer. Mr. Sauser has been in the army for many years and will be able to retire shortly as he will have a credit of thirty years continual service, although he has not served that many years, part of his service being abroad and for which he receives double credit. About a year ago Mr. Sauser bought the George R. Smith place across the river and it has been understood for some time that he intends to make this city his home after his retirement. He has always taken a deep interest in the city that will be his future home and has at previous times aided in charitable and patriotic movements inaugurated by our city. D. M. Worland, one of the leading boosters for the fatory, recently wrote Mr. Sauser a letter explaining the lot sale plan and also sent him a contract. The contract came back properly signed an accompanied by a 210 check for the first payment. Mr. Sauser will be a valuable citizen to Rensselaer and Jasper county and his location here will be welcomed by all who have already made his acquaintance and by progressive citizens who will later meet him. He is related to the Goetz family, west of town, and has frequently visited here when on furloughs.
