Babcock Suit Dismissed.

The court this morning dismissed the action brought by F. E Babcock, publisher of the Jasper County Democrat, to prevent the payment to Jas. W. McEwen for publishing the tax levy, claiming that The Democratic Sentinel editor published the notice without order and asking pay for the same himself. Babcock’s attorney made overtures to the county attorney offering to dismiss the suit if the county would pay the costs and when informed that it would not, the suit was dismissed at the plaintiff’s cost.
