Mrs. Van R. Grant will give a party tomorrow night at her home in honor of the Misses Porter, who will soon depart from Rensselaer. It is to be an intent affair, the girls to be attired in dresses of infants from one to six years old. It Is not known whether the "children” will brihg their Teddy Bears. John Moore went to Kalamazoo, Mich., this morning for a vsiit with his son, Victor Moore and family, who recently moved there. Peter Van Lear and wife and baby went to Chicago this morning to visit relatvies a few days and take in the cement show now on at the coliseum. The Hiram Day, Ben Smith, Frank Yeiter and Cooney Kellner cement crowd expect to go to Chicago tomorrow to take in the cement show. T. F. Clarke, of Battle Ground, and C. O. Cowgill, of Decatur, IIL, came this morning for a short visit with George Colvert and family. Ray Miller returned to bis home at Plqua, Ohio, yesterday after a visit here with his brother, Rev. O. E. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Hammond, of Wolcott, are here today, and will go from here to Chicago this afternoon.
