* ,• i’Mr. and Mrs. .Finch Jennings, of Fowler, visited at Geo. Bond’s a few days last week. Mrs. Ida M. Lewis has bought the Will Noland property in Lee, and will move there this spring. S. B. Moffit has unloaded part of his dredge fixtures here, to begin work on the Ringeisen ditch in the Spring. f | A. Williamson, R. B. Porter and Lon McDonald were in Chicago Monday morning to buy some work horses for the farm. t/ \ Mrß. Millard Fross and daughter. Oka, returned home Tuesday morning from a week’s visit with relatives at Saint Joseph, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ringeisen went to Missouri Monday night to vis|t a brother of Mr. Ringeisen’s that he has not seen for nearly 20 years. Martin McDonald was down from Wilders a couple of days this week visiting relatives. Misses Alice and Mary McDonald returned borne with him. Elmer Gunyon, who has lived on the J, C. Gwln farm for the past year, moved to Parr last week. J, F. Cochran, of near Francesville, moved into the house the same day it was vacated by Mr. Gunyon. very well. Reed McCoy has again secured the services of Miss Vera Lefler as clerk and assistant postmistress for the ensuing year. Miss Lefler has got the postoffice business worked up complete. t J The approach to the new steal bridge south of McCoysburg has been giving the trustees and other road officials of the township an untold amount of trouble the past two weeks. The dirt being of a close sandy substance and just filled In late in the winder, does not stand the heavy rains ofja’e, H. W. Rishling traded his b’ind pig for a Jersey calf the other day, and thinks he will be able to start a soup house next campaign season. A few ducks have made their appearance already and early Saturday morning Elvin Bussell bagged a couple of nice Mallards in a com field near the house. They are the first ducks we have heard of bsing killed this spring.
