County Council Appropriates $2,000.00

The county council which has b en in session since Monday morning and which will conclude its business today, ap'propriateed $2,000 to be usedfor the employment of expert accountants to go over the books of the auditor and treasurer during the tenure of office of S. R. Nichols and adjudicate any possible discrepancy that' I might exist in the settlement recently made by Mr. Nichols. This is the result of a demand made by Nichols when he paid into the county treasury the amount demanded of him. The action was timely and will meet the approval of voters without Respect to party.
