home of his uncle, George Hopkins, the carpenter. Tod is a son of Cash Hopkins and left here with his father almost twenty-five years ago, and this is his first visit back to his old home. He lives on his father’s farm near Greensburg, and owns a farm in Oaklahoma. His wife accompanied him here, but their five children re? mained behind. Tod says some of them are larger than he is, but Tod never acquired much size himself. As he was just a young man when he left here he does not find very many familiar faces here. Emerson Coen sailed from New York' Sunday on the U. S. Ship New Hampshire, for Havana Harbor. The ship had original orders to sail Tuesday of last week, but these were cance’ed add the date was set for Feb. 4th, which is tomorrow. Last Sunday, however, sealed orders were received for the embarcation of the ship and it sailed that day. It Is probable that the indication of political jealousies in the new Cuban government prompted sending the ship there.
