Society Notes.

Mrs. Leslie Clark and Mrs. Tom Jordan entertained members of the Pythian Sisters and a few other guests in a delightful manner Thursday afternoon at the home of the former, serving a nice luncheon. About forty ladies and gentlemen, composing the Eastern Star Club, and their husbands were entertained at a 6 o’clock dinner Thursday, evening by Mrs. C. W. Rhoades, and a very pleasant time was enjoyed. The men indulged .in a game of Slippery Ann after the dinner. .. The young ladles’ Sew Club held Its regular meeting Thursday afternoon with Miss Lena Tutcur, and the wedding of Miss Belle Malnes and Mr. Loy Hess, which is to take place next Wednesday was announced. Mrs. Judson Maines will give a shower for Miss Maines Saturday afternoon, and the Sew Club members will constitute the participants. The marriage of Belle Maines, daughter of Mrs. Geo. *H. Maines, to Mr. Loy Hess, of Fowler, will take place at the bride’s home next Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hess will reside in Fowler.
