The first steps towSrd the election of a $300,000 hospital In Indianapolis for the child:en of the entire state, to be maintained by tie state, were taken Friday night at a meeting of business men and physicians of Indianapolis. An organization was perfected and officers elected. The organization will incorporate. The institution is to be non-sec-tarian and will be open to all sck children of the state and run on a charity basis. Frank Van Camp, president of the organisation, headed the list of subscriptions by a donation of SI,OCO. Charles C. Torrence, of the Crooksville China Co., said he would give a cash donation and equip tie entire institution with china and glassware. A bill providing for the state to assume tie maintenance of the hospital will be drawn by Albeit Baker and will be Introduced in one of tie branches of tie legislature soon after tie articles of incorporation have been filed.
