The Factory We Have In Sight.

The Andrews-Johnson Company, of Chicago, Capitalized at ?jBO,OO ), manufacturers of heating systems that are .installed in large buildings, is the p manufacturing industry thar wl. come to Rensselaer if $25,000' c.n be raised. This company has Installed its heaing plants In some of the largest and best known buildings In Chicagoo. It never endeavors to equip a building in a town of less than 15,000 inhabitants. It has outgrown its present quarters in Chicago arid, like many other manufacturing concerns, is seeking a location outside of Chicago. It is we 1 pleased -with Rensselaer and it is now up to the people whether they will secure & most desirable industry for our town. This company pays its men from twenty-seven to fatty-six cents an hour in wages. It agrees to payout >500,000 in wages here, exclusive of traveling salesmen, before the bonus of $25,000 is paid them. The contract to secure the factory has been Signed by all the directors of the Rensselaer Commercial Club and it is expected to be signed by the directors of the company in a day or two. Anyone may get any information they desire about the contract from any of the directors of the Commercial Club. r The building to be erected by the company is 150 feet by 200 feet and from 16 to 22 feet high, to be made of brick, With stone foundation and wood and concrete flooring.
