The Yeuell Meetings.

“Don’t wait for God to get ready to save you” said Evangelist Yeuell last night. “God has been thousands of years preparing the way for yonr salvation, Christ spent 33 years finishing the preparation and the Holy Spirit came at Penticost and cried come for all things are now ready. The Holy Spirit does not have to come down to get ready or to get you ready. He is here. Are you ready?’’ This was the tenor of Mr. Yeuell’s most eloquent address last night at the Christian church. The audience was large and full of sympathy with the speaker. There were nine responses to. the invitation, making 13 to date. There are all the elements of a great revival and the Christian people of the entire city are deeply interested. Some of the ministers were present •and took an interested part and strangers from out of town were present. Several visitors from Mr. Yeueil’s other meetings in this state are in attendance. Mr. Wm. W. Seer, of the Moody school, sang two solos, and he will be present again tonight A large number of young people have formed a junior choir in one of the sections. The singing under the direction of Dr. W. L. Myer is congregational and inspiring, assisted by a competent choir. Great interest Is being manifested in Mr. Yeuell’s Saturday night illustrated lecture on “Shipwrecks”. There will be 150 finely colored dissolving effects, the 20 scenes of gorgeous sunsets being especially mentioned. Cards are out for these lectures. The men are already talking of Yeuell’s great lecture for men only Sunday afternoon. There is much curiosity as to who is meant by “The man with his hair cut short”. Tomorrow night he promises one of his special talks to young people for the benefit of high school pupils who on account of studies, cannot attend other nights. The bible readings by Mr. Yeuell are getting to be a leading feature of these meetings.
