Rensselaer Wins Again.
The local High School basket ball team defeated the Goodland team last evening at the Armory by the score of 40-20. For the most part the game was well played by both teams, except for a little roughness at first The Goodland team showed some very good team work at times, but as they have been playing Bince the first of the school year, it is to be expected that they should play together better. The Rqnsselaer captains Meyers and Ed Duvall were the stars, the former throwing 10 field baskets, and the letter 7. For Goodland, Gravel and Rowe played the best game. The locals showed considerable improvement since the game with Franklin college. They were more accurate in passing and showed more speed. With a little more practice they will be able to hold their own with any team in this end of the state. The line up follows: Goodland Rensselaer Smith, Morton C Meyers,(Capt.) Rich R F Seegrist, Hammond Gravel L F Duvall (Conaway (Capt.) R G Ross Rowe L G Kirk, Gundy Field baskets, Smith 1, Rich 1, Gravel 4, Rowe 2, Meyers 10, Duvall 7, Seegrist 1, Hammond 1. Foul goals, Meyers 2, Gravel 4. Total Rensselaer 40, Goodland 20.
