Almost Cleaned Lowell Platter.
The Rensselaer and Jasper comity entries at the Lowell poultry show, fared splendidly in the prize awards, made after tfle scoring of the birds Thursday. The greatest single honors came to William Hershman, of Walker township, who Is a leading black Langshan fancier. He not only won about all the prizes In that class, but won the handsome Bllver cup offered for the highest scoring birds In'all classes. This was a pullet, which the judge found an almost perfect bird. Mr. Hershman won the following prizes: Ist and 2nd cock; . Ist, 2nd 3d and 4th pullet; at and 2d hen; Ist, 2d, 3d and 4th cockerel; Ist and 2d pen. Emmet Pullins aso fared well, his barred rocks winning the followings Ist, 2d and 3d pullet; Ist and 2d hen; Ist, 2d and 4th cockerel; Ist pen. His bronze turkeys were awarded the following prizes: Ist cockerel; Ist pullet; Ist and 2d hen. C. D. Norman ran into a number, of other partridge cochin entries, but his birds were the best, winning the following: Ist cockerel; Ist pullet; Ist hen. He had but three entries. Everet Brown hqd his buff rocks entered and got Is ''pullet, Ist pen and 3d cockerel. There were 300 entries at the show and combined with the poultry features was a bread and corn contest. It was a very successful show, and drew very good crowds.
