Masonic Installation Grand Success.
About three hundred people respond ed to the invitations sent out by the Masonic blue lodge, the Royal Arch Chapter and the Order of the Eastern Star, to witness the installation of the new officers, and from all accounts it was an exceedingly pleasant and profitable affair. The work of installation for the Blue lodge was performed by Mr. John Bowie, of Wheatfield, who is the master of the Roselawn lodge. He was assisted by Mr. Frank E. Lewis, of Kersey, who acted -as marshal. The work of both was entirely satisfactory and occasioned many compliments. Mr. A. R. Hopkins officiated as installing officer for the Chapter and also performed the work to the satisfaction of the large assemblage. Mr. J. K. Davis announced that seven of the new officers of the Eastern Star were out of the city or otherwise prevented from being present and the installation was deferred until a later date. Refreshments were served, consisting of sandwitches, pickles, coffe?, ice cream and cake. 4
