Notice is hereby given that the Jordan Township Board of Finance of Jasper county, Indiana, will between the hours of 1 o’clock p. m. and 2 o’clock p. m. on the 4th day of January, 1909, at the office of the Trustee of the township of Jordan, County of Jasper, State of Indiana, receive written proposals from banks and trust companies, subject to examination by the State of Indiana or by the United States, and having the’r place of bus ness in this State, for the receipt of a maximum amount of public funds cn deposit, as provided for In an act of the General Assembly of Indiana, entitled “An act concerning public funds, the r deposit and safe keeping and the collection of interest thereon; creating Boards of Finance and defining their powers, duties and procedure, prescribing punishment for viola 1 ions, prescribing when said act shall take effect, and repealing laws in conflict,” approved March 9, 1907, and being Chapter 222 of the Acts of 1907, page 391. Said funds to be deposited consist of public funds of Jordan twp, Jasper county, Ind. All proposals, personal and surety company bonds must be executed according to official forms prepared under the provisions of the above statute. DEPOSITORY NOTICE. Record of the Board of Finance of the School Town of Remington, Jasper County, Indiana. Office of the Board, December 1, 1908. The School Board of the School Town of Remington, Indiana, met this day at their office and organized a Board of Finance for the School Town by electing James H. Green President, and George Besse, Secretary, and by law Hannibal Landon was Treasurer. The Board of Finance being thus duly organized according to luw, proceeded to business. By resolution they instruct* d the Secretary to immediately, for this week’s publication, give notice that the Board of Finance for tills School Town would meet at the office of the School Board, December 26, 1908, at 10 o’clock a. m. to receive proposals from the Banks and Bunking Institutions of the Town to receive the public funds of the School Town on deposit according to law, and inviting their proposals, to the end that at this meeting a Depository or Depositories for the School Fund as may be established. The Board Instructed the Secretary to publish these minutes of the meeting In the Jasper County Democrat and the Rensselaer Republican. There being no further business before the Board they adjourned to meet at their office December 26, 1908, at 10 o’clock a. m. J. H. Green, President. George Besse, Secretary.
