To Improve Japan’s Railways.

The Japanese Government has decided to carry out, in connection with the nationalized railroads, a thorough improvement on a large scale of air State fines. The work, of which the estimated cost is about £1,300,000. is to be completed in five years, in time for the opening of the exhibition in 1912.—Engineer.
