Obituary of Aaron Wilson.

. In the death of Aaron Wilson, of Fair Oaks, we have the passing pf an old settler and a veteran of dm civil war. Mr. Wilson was bom in Union coun ty in 1227, in 1270 he moved to Newton county and later in life to Jas-. per. He was married to Mary Rag in 1267, and was the father of four children, three of whom survive nim. After the death of his wife in 1298 he spent three years in the Lafayette Soldiers’ Home and the reWilson and his daughter MCrs. John maining years with his son Frank Wilson and bis daughter Mrs. John Umphrees, of Fair Oaks, where he was at the time of his death on September 22, 1902. Mr. Wilson was a farmer, owning farms at different times near Thayer and Blackford. In 1862 he answered the count r> s’ call for soldiers and served for three years. He had been a member of tbe Chris tian church for fifty years and a faithful student of the Bible and a devoted Christian to the end. • His health was so Impaired in his country’s service that be never after was well, for the last four yearn he has been almost totally blind. He died at the ripe old age of SI yean He is mourned by two sons and one daughter and a number of grandchildren and friends. The funeral took place Thursday at the Christian church and was conducted by Rev. G. H. Clarke. The body was laid to rest In the Roselawa cemetery.
