Mrs. Mary Rees spent Sunday with 'Samuel Rees and family. Mrs. Walter Daniels spent Wednesday with Mrs. George Daniels. Ed Oliver, went to Danville, HL, Monday to stay for a few days. Misses Leatha and Mary Rees spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. George Daniels. Miss Eva Gorbet, who is working in Rensselaer, spent Saturday night and Sunday with her parents. Two of Geo. Houser’s daughters, of Giffbrd, are spending a few days of this week with Miss Lola Oliver. Samuel Rees and family and Thos. Edwards and daughter, Bertha, spent Friday evening with Wm. Rees and family. Thos. Edwards and daughter Bertha, of Elliotsville, Ind., spent a few days of last week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rees. Miss Creola Torbet went home with her sister, Mrs. John Dale, of Dari- ■ ington, who has been visiting with het parents, to go to school this winter. Ed Oliver received two loads of hogs Saturday night about midnight, l but says he don’t know where they came from, as that is something new for him to get.

Wm. Rees went to Kankakee, 111., on business Friday and says B. J. Gifford is progressing very fast with his railroad towards Gary, being within eleven miles of there now.
