Ray Wood, the barber, has returned from his sojourn in Nanton, Alberta, Canada. Art Daugherty,- who accompanied him there, is workiftg on & farm there and may decide to take up a claim. The claim that Ray took up about two years ago he was unable to get hold of, some other person haring squatted on it during his absence. Ray worked at the barber trade most of the time that he was gone, and expects to go back there again later on. He evidently has his weather eye out for a bargain and will make a purchase when next he goes up in that country. Attorney W. H. Parkinson was in Delphi yesterday in the interest of his automobile gear, which the Delphi Machine Co. is preparing to manufacture extensively. So sure is Mr. Parkinson that the gear is a success he is already taking orders for them and it is probable that they will be extensively used in another year. He and his brother, Dr. Parkinson, of Brook, are expecting to shortly go on a long trip to demonstrate their gear, the doctor’s machine being equipped with one, and they will go to all the large automobile centers in the central west. They will also attend the automobile show in Chicago and demonstrate, the gear there. They are having daily calls for the gear, and its value has interested automobile manufacturers the country over. * : r WEDNESDAY Mrs. W. O. Rowles went to Chicago this morning for a few days’ stay.
