NOT EXPECTED TO UNDERSTAND
The Intended Surprise Became A Metter of Feet Event. Two little girls tn one of th* suburbs of Boston, whose ages are respectively, 4 and t, are devout and Interested attendants at the Episcopal church. Their maternal grandmother resides In Boston and come* of old Unitarian stock. The children were visiting the grandmother one Sunday and It chanced that the same day the rector of their own church preached at Emanuel Church In Boston. So the grandmother, thinking to give them a pleasant surprise, took them to the service, but, contrary to , her expectations, they expressed no surprise whatever. "Do you know the minister?” she asked. "Yes, he Is our minister.” "But why Is he here?” "Why he Is our minister.” "Do you think he came here because you were to be here?” “Why, of course; he Is our minister.” "But,” pursued the grandmother. "I don’t think I quite understand.” “No,” answered the little ® year old, “of course, you don’t, grandma, but then (with a pitying sigh) you’re a Unitarian.” —Boston Herald. ~.
