Horse Show Draws Big Crowl
The horse show given Friday, the last day of the home coining celebration, was a success in every particular, and brought a large crowd of farmers and stockmen- to town. The horse show was given on Washington street in front of the court house and resembled the horse ring of a county fair, and demonstrated the quality of horse flesh now being raised in Jasper county. The prizes, which were |5, $3 and |2 in each class, were awarded as follows: Draft stallions, five entries, Ist and 2nd to Eliaur Sage; 3rd, Chas. Pullins. Agricultural mares, 3 years old and over, 8 entries, Ist, A. J. Biggs; 2nd, Perry Marlatt; ’3rd, James Walters. Draft colts, 8 entries, Ist, Oscar Hauter; 2nd and 3rd. James Walters.
