Enthusiastic Home Coming Meeting.

The meeting of the committees at the court house this morning on call of the executive committee was well attended and every matter relating to the great home coming was gone over thoroughly. It was decided to make the basket dinner the first day a/feature, and to have the addresses of welcome and the response take place on the court house lawn after all are seated to dinner. C. C. Warner and Mrs. Abbie Roberts were placed jointly in charge of the reception committee and the basket dinner will come under their'supervision. Another new feature was the decision to have a horse show on Friday, the 4th. A. J. Harmon and W. V. Porter were placed in charge of that feature. Two baseball games were decided upon, and both are to be free, a suitable purse being hung up to get good teams to compete. It was found that the committee was still in need of considerable more money am>> they are going to try hard to get it. E. V. Ransford, chairman of the decorations committee was allowed $l5O for the decorations. It is expected to build an arch across the street and to decorate the court house with both bunting and electric lights. The affair is going to be one of the largest ever undertaken by Rensselaer and it is receiving the enthusiastic support of all citizens, who are going to give former citizens a rousing welcome, and prepare a program each day that will attract vast crowds from the surrounding country and towns.
