Death of Little Boy in Jordan.

The six years old son of J. S. Nelson, of Jordan township, about 9 miles southwest of Rensselaer, • died at about 7 . o’clock Wednesday evening. He had been sick for* several days, but the parents did not feel alarmed about him ujrtil Wednesday noon, when a Rensselaer physician was called. He saw the little felldw was in a precarious condition, an abscess having formed in his throat near the wind pipe. He Administered to him and later in the evening went out toysee him again, but he was dead when the doctor arrived, having strangled to death. It' is quite: certain that early attention would have saved the little chap’s life. Wheatfield will play baseball with the Chicago Union Giants, the strong colored aggregation at Wheatfield next Tuesday, Aug. 18th. The Giants defeated the Regulars twice last year and then got a great drubbing at their hands the third game. They state that this is the only game they will play in Indiana this year.
