Frankel, of North Manchester, has Invented a gasoline engine starter designed especially for automobiles, which, if under practical tests will meet the claims of the inventor, is bound to have a large sale and will doubtless be attached to the machines of nearly every manufacturer. The device is operated by a lever pressed by the foot of the driver without leaving his seat, and dispenses with the crank and the frequent annoyance of passersby, who all want to know what is the matter when the engine failß to start, as they nearly all do occasionally.
