Thompson-Clayton Wedding Thursday.
The wedding of Mr. Finnan Thompson, son of Judge and Mrs. 8. P. Thompson of this place, and Miss Fay Clayton, daughter of Dr. George R. Clayton, of Monon, took place Thursday afternoon at about 1:30 o’clock in a parlor at the Palmer House! in Chicago. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Wallace, a Methodist minister and a friend of tbe Clayton family. - The wedding was witnessed by Dr. Clayton and son Ray, father and brother of the bride, and by Miss Eva Ernest and Miss Nannie Reed, of Monon; Miss Edna Thompson, sister of the groom, and Mr. Harry Kurrie and Mr. Rex Warner, of Rensselaer, and Miss Georgia Metcalf, of Girard, UL Mr. Thompson and his bride returned to Rensselaer Thursday evening on the milk train hnd received <he congratulations of many of their friends here. They took the milk train again Friday morning and went to Chicago, where it was their plan to take a lake trip to Petoskey, Mich., and they will go from there to Burt Lake for a stay of a week or ten days. They will then return to Rensselaer and after a few days’ visit with his parents and relatives here and with Dr. Clayton at Monon they will go to Chicago to take up their residence.
