Failed To Sell Ringeissen Ditch.

John R. Phillips was in from Hanging Grove township Tuesday to try to sell the contract for digging the Ringeissen ditch, which had an estimated excavation of 65,000 yards. The proposed ditch is about four milee long. The estimate of the viewers was not sufficient, thought the bidders and Mr. Phillips could not sell the ditch for more than the estimate, so it did not sell, and it will later have to be readvertised.
