AUTOS CRASH NO ONE HURT
Dr. Kresler and Nan Named Clyne Have Head-End Anto Collision This Horning.
Dr. A. R. Krseler and a man named Clyne tad a head-end automobile collision shortly before noon today, and the doctor’s new Buick runabout and the machine driven by Clyne were badly injured, but very fortunately the occupants of the machines escaped injury.
Dr. Kresler was accompanied by his wife and baby and they were returning from the country. The accident occurred at the Clouse corner, 3% miles south of this city. Dr. Kresler was coming to Rensselaer and Mr. Clyne was going the other way*. The comer where the roads ' merge is grown up in high hedge and the view is concealed. Clyne was turning west and Dr. Kresler was turning north and there was not a second of warning. The machines were not being recklessly driven but they clashed together with the added speed of the two machines and the compact was sufficient to badly damage the machines. The baby was jarred from Mrs. Kresler’s arms and fell over front of the machine and was momentarily held by the fender which forms a sort of basket as it curves over the front wheels and meats the shield over the engine. With rare presence of mind Mrs. Kresler caught up the baby and none of the parties were apparently in the least Injured. V
Aid was at once summoned and parties went from town to the scene of the wreck and Frank Ham brought the passengers of the two machines back home in his big steamer. The doctor’s brother, Frank Kresler, took his trunk wagon out and loaded the front end of the disabled Buick on the wagon and pulled it in on its back wheels. It was taken to the Rensselaer garage, where an hour later the doctor was busily engaged taking It apart. The left front wheel was broken, every spoke being broken from the rim, but the tire was not injured. The left front axle was badly bent, as was also the left fender and the left step. The lamp was' also broken off and badly bent. It was thought tlat the engine was unlnjur.d. Portions of the machine and possibly all of It will have to be returned to the factory, and this will be done at once. It was a very fortunate escape for all parties.
