Mr. Smith was 27 years of age and leaves a wife but no children, their only child having died about a year ago. He is a brother of John K. Smith of Hanging Grove town-hip, wi. o for some time this spring also resided in Rensselaer. The Mt Ayr Pilot says that the appreciation of the man can scarcely be imagined.
