Last of Large Porter Family.

R. B. Porter, deputy postmaster, has just received notice of the death at Saltillo, Ind., of his father’a sister, Mrs. Rachel Porter Chase, which occurred on May 27th, at the advanced age of 97 years, 8 months and 7 days. Mrs. Chase was the last of a family of ten children of which she was the youngest. Her nephew, Bruce Porter, paid her a visit two years ago. Her parents and her grandparents were Nicholas and Nancy Porter. She was the mother of fourteen children, only six of who survive her. She also leaves 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was married 70 years ago and her husband died In 1882. 1 It was with much sadness that the relatives here learned of the death of their aged aunt, whose latter years of patient waiting for the end had endeared to all who knew her.
