St. Joe Defeated Last Saturday.

The crack baseball team from St. Joseph’s College met a defeat last Saturday at Chicago, DePaul University winning from them by a score of 3 to 2. The St, Joe boys did not put up quite so spirited a game either in the field or at the bat as they have been in the habit of doing, and the should have shut out the DePaul boys, for all their scores were made on errors, but while St. Joe earned the two they got, batting in the runs on clean hits.

Unless a game is 'later arranged for next Saturday, this concludes the St. Joe season, and they lost only two games, the one Saturday and one to Wheatfield a few weeks before.
