Death of Dallas Nichols.
Relatives of Dallas Nichols were notified Saturday morning of his death, at his farm near Dixon, Soutli Dakota. His father John Nichols started Saturday on the 9:55 train for Dixon, and arrived here this Monday afternoon on the 2:01 train wi& the remains. ... , Mr. Nichols went to Dixon a year ago last February, moving from jf farm near Parr to a claim near that place, which he had purchasd as § relinquishment from another party. He had only 14 months to live on 4 in order to prove it up, and thi« he had done. The family knew that for some tlnip he had been in bad- healh and they were notified just before the t&jp gram reached here that he would hay tb undergo an operation for an Obstruction of the bowels, but it is not known whether or not he diajjj during or as a result of the operation. £ The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Johs Nichols -residence on north Fores( street., and burial will be made iS the Smith cemetery In Barkley tow&r ship. Rev. J. L. Brady will conduct the service. Mr. Nichols leave* a wife and three children, his fathy and brother, Jesse Nichols. He was 32 years of age last Steptember.
