Attorney E. P. J3onan returned Monday evening from Chicago, where he had been attending the 26th aasi' versary and Bllver jubilee of the Catholic Order of Foresters. It was an Immense meeting and there were estimated to be 12,000 Catholics In the Sunday gathering at the coliseum There were many eloquent addresses, chorus singing by 600 voices and reverent bowing in prayer. John F. Scanlon, one of the speakers, launched a movement to Increase the membership to 1,000,000 by the date of the golden jubilee, which will be May 24, 1033. , Being a state chief ranger and a former member of the board of trustees, Mr. Honan was entitled to the honors of the platform where the speakers were seated, and he was therefore able to hear all the eloquent speeches and participate in the event .throughout. On Monday the Btate and provincial chief rangers held a meeting which started a membership campaign. Mr. Honan remained for this meeting and it was a very enthusiastic one.
