Save Flowers for the Soldiers’ Graves

There Is generally a scarcity of flowerß about Decoration Day and they should be saved for the graves of the veterans, In whose honor the day was established. It haß not been infrequent that people have used an abundance of flowers for the graves of their relatives and friends and the graves of the old soldiers have gone practically without flowers. This is often thoughtlessly done and it is urged that all make a special effort to save flowers for the graves of the old soldiers. The program for Decoration Day will be published in a later issue of the Republican, but It Is expected that the marching from the court house square to the cemetrey will begin at 1 o'clock, and that all business houses will be closed from 1 to 3 o'clock. If the weather proves good jlt Is hoped to have a great crowd to participate in the parade.
